Lecturing
Els van de Kar is an experienced lecturer for professionals, master and bachelor students. She teaches on service design, innovation and the impact of digitalization.

Some examples:
- Since January 2020: Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam: lecturer of the Bachelor course ‘Informatiemanagement’ (in Dutch) for about 800 Dutch first year students. Topics include the Digital world; Algorithmic thinking; IT fundamentals; Digital business; Database management and modelling; Data warehouses and big data analyses; Network effects and platform ecosystems. Furthermore Els coaches master students Business Information Management on their thesis.
- TopTech Delft: Course manager of master of Telecom, Media and Technology course for business analyst of Cap Gemini consultants. (2008; 2009)
- Fontys International Business School: business model innovation workshops in the Service Engineering Lab (2018-2019)
- TopTech Delft: Course manager of master of Telecom, Media and Technology course for business analyst of Cap Gemini consultants. (2008; 2009)
- Hogeschool Arnhem and Nijmegen: lecturer of course ‘design of innovative services’ This is part of the Masters in Telecommunication Management and also taught in Ghana. (2006/2007; 2007/2008; 2008/2009; 2010/2011 in Ghana)
- Toptech Delft: workshop facilitator of service innovation workshops in executive programs. (2007)
- Course Business and IT Architecture: Development and teaching. Together with The Vision Architects (2001, 2002).
- Master course ‘service system engineering’ for EPA students in the double degree program in Harbin, China (15-19 October 2007/2008).
- Master course ‘service system engineering’ for the SEPAM masters at Delft University of Technology (from 2004 till 2009).
- Various guest lectures at Faculty of Industrial Design (TU Delft); MBA (Erasmus University); Master of Innovation (UvL); etc.
- Teaching the elective courses ’e-business’ (module manager from 1999 till 2005); ‘masterclass e-business’ (2000/2001 and 2001/2002); ‘mobile commerce in action’ (2000/2001 and 2001/2002).
- Supervising about 20 M.Sc. students (2000-2008) and coaching 2 PhD students (2004 till 2007).
